What would you do...?

I read a blog post that inspired me to share my feelings with you all! It's about Dumpster Diving over at Common Sense with Money. I know most people I talk about this with think I am crazy for even mentioning it! I find it strange myself that I am interested in this considering I am a germ freak, and don't practice the 5 second rule! I can't help it I find this idea very intriguing. Perfectly good food just thrown out...crazy! I am not above checking the recycling bins in my neighborhood to collect coupons. I figure how stupid to pay $2 for a paper when I can visit 4 or 5 bins and collect FREE coupons! I'm not sure about the laws on dumpster diving here in Oklahoma. When I searched this subject online I found many personal testimonies and even people on a waiting list for my area to dumpster dive as a group! If you want to get on the list or check your area for a group click here. I'm not sure if I will ever try this, maybe I am not gutsy enough. Let me know what you think!

Getting ready for a consignment sale!!!

Hi everyone, I have been so busy getting ready for the Just Between Friends consignment sale that I haven't been on the internet much lately. But I took a break to tell you about the JBF sale coming up!

If you are not familiar with consigning it is when you sell your gently used clothing. The way the JBF sale works is you price, tag and place your item in the sale. The Oklahoma City sale is at the state fairgrounds which is a very large location. I admit it takes a little bit of time to sort through your clothing, tag everything and iron it all. But the new tagging system they use is wonderful. You enter everything quick and easy then just print it out!
The fee for entering your items is $10 and 35%. This might seem like alot but a consignment sale is not a garage sale and you get to price your items 1/2 or 1/3 of the original price.
It is totally worth it! Last year I spent $300 at the sale for everything, including shoes, Christmas dresses, clothing and jackets! Then two weeks after the sale I made $300 for the clothing I entered and sold, so it is like I am just rolling over my money!
JBF is not only in Oklahoma check here to see if there is a sale near you!

Just sign up here and get a free Country Bob's BBQ sauce coupon mailed to you!!! I have had the pleasure of trying this sauce and I have to say it is very YUMMY! I would describe the taste as a little tangy, kind of like a steak sauce. My husband loved it, saying it was a nice flavor change from out regular sauce! Anyway it's free, so find out for yourself!!!

All Things Attire!

I've been to two places this year looking for Easter outfits.
The first is Kohls, because I work there duh, lol!
The Boys department has a large selection in 4-7, but
maybe 5 choices in the 2-4t range, which is what my little man is in! Luckily they have 2 that I like! Here they are! It will probably depend on what dress I pick for Abby to go with this outfit.
Good Lad Great Guy 3-pc. Sweater Vest SetGood Lad Great Guy 3-pc. Sweater Vest Set
These range in price according to the sale, but have been as low as $22 and as high as $44.

Now for Abby's dress I likes these choices:
Rare Too Dot Dress
Seen as low as $22 and as high as $48

Youngland Plaid Dollie and Me Dress Set
I've seen this one as low as $16 and as high as $36

SONOMA life + style Floral Smocked DressSONOMA life + style Plaid Smocked DressBlueberi Boulevard Floral and Plaid Sundress
I've seen these as low as $8.80 and as high as $22

Now the 2nd place I went was Baby Depot at Burlington.
They had several of the same dresses Kohls had for around $8 or $9. They also had really nice frilly satin Easter dresses for $25.
All the boys choices were suits or 3 piece vest sets. Not really my style, but I think they were around $20 to $30.

I am determined to each outfit for around $15.

Lets not forget... why we celebrate Easter! Easter is the celebration of Jesus rising from the dead, after his crucifixion on the cross three days earlier.
Here in the Bible belt Oklahoma, we have many choices of churches to attend. But the place I call home is People's Church! My kids love their classes and cry when we have to leave!
